We have actually seen vintage style making its comeback since a couple of years ago and it’s still going to be hot, hot, hot this coming season. Top handle bags with shoulder straps and classic shapes, such as that of Victoria Beckham’s chain bag, is just one example. This vintage bag takes inspiration from a classic Chanel Flap bag design that, over time, has been imitated, recreated and patterned after. Some vintage bags may also feature cute add-ons like ribbons and embellishments, which have been popular for quite some time now.

Well, every spring, we do get to see a barrage of colorful bags that go with the mood of the season. But this time around, we’re going to see a lot of subtle earth colors like nudes, creams, khakis, green and beige…or variations thereof. These colors go with anything and blends with your spring resort wear. Bottega Venetta showcased bags in this style in their Spring 2011 runway collection.

Fun, stylish and totally utilitarian, denim bags are making a comeback. They’re very versatile and they will look perfect for spring, as well as summer. Prada’s 2011 Spring Collection showed an assortment of laid-back, but very stylish denim bags that not just look good for fun, it can be wearable and useful in the office, as well.

Exciting Bag Trends for Spring 2011

I don’t know about you but I feel like my Grandma’s hiding behind these bags somewhere. As much as I see the grandiosity to these bags, they just remind me too much of my grandmother. Which is actually a good thing if you look at it — because I love her. I might get to love these designs, too.

These are vintage bags of course, in a print called Rinascimento, according to Gucci’s Frida Giannini, the brand’s creative director.

The bag launch is just in time for the reopening of its newly renovate Rome boutique.
