Loewe has completely turned around its handbag line after Stuart Vevers became its Creative Director. The designer used to head Mulberry. The brand, which is based in Madrid, has recently released its latest collection for spring and summer 2012 and the cretions by Vevers are nothing short of gorgeous.

The latest lines come in pretty colors and varying sizes and shapes, with materials culled from leather, suede and exotic sources like iguanas, crocodiles and lizards.

Mulberry Celebrates 40th Year With Increased Profits

British brand Mulberry is celebrating its 40th birthday and the company is receiving a fitting gift.

According to reports, the company has just announced that their profits have grown to as much as 358% in March of this year and credits Asia for much of the increase in sales.

In fact, production for its handbag line has doubled since and Mulberry had to expand their factory in Somerset to meet the growing demands. It also allowed the company to hire more people to work in the assembly line.

Mulberry’s Small Baywater Satchel for Fall/Winter 2011

While at the Coachella event over the weekend, Nicole Richie was seen totting this bag.

It’s actually a small Mulberry Baywater satchel, a variation of a previously released bag except that this one comes with a studded straps in a slightly different material. The bag is pebbled leather, while the accent is patterned leather.

But while the Lily is actually just natural leather, this limited edition is of camel suede and then embellished with 2,596 Swarovski crystals 460 rivets. All these have been manually applied.
