These are from the recent Milan Fashion Week, Fendi’s 2009 Clutch Collection for Spring and Summer.

Fendi’s got a few misses with their bag designs in the past but I think these clutches have redeemed the brand. These are offbeat and funky but still very classy.

Debuting at the Milan Fashion Week early this month, this is quite an unusually shaped bag. It almost looks like half a vulcanized ball, doesn’t it? Well, only this is the glamorous and fashionable version. I can totally see myself carrying a bag like this, no matter how oddly shaped it is. The Roger Vivier buckle signature is of course prominently displayed on it.

I have to say I’m not exactly jumping for these new line. What happened here?  Designer Marc Jacobs went with an African inspired collection but the tribal chic look is lost on me, especially since I see similar bags like these at thrift stores.

I’d like to say this creation was bold but it just looks tacky for LV.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 Bag Collection

These are exotic looking bags in shades of brown or earth —- saffron, copper, chesnut, caramel. The details and the frills don’t seem to be too overpowering that you can’t use the bag during casual business meetings.

Chanel lives up to its image of classic chic and feminine style. This collection is simply elegant. But some people may find this too plain and boring, compared to other styles that have debut in the Milan Runway last week.
