feNa Handbags: Promoting Positivity Through Fashion

There are some handbags that look perfect for the color blocking trend. Although I have to say, that one in the blue and white motif had me do a double take because it pretty much looked like a child’s bag to me. However, the longer I look at it, the more I’m kind of appreciating the bag’s style. For summer or spring, this would be so ideal.

Inside, these handbags are lined with printed fabric with a fade-out effect, to match the rest of the collection (which had garments carrying the same fabric).

Other fashion experts think, however, that the floral printed handbag design looked more like rolls of wallpaper or daisy applique. I do think that a handbag wouldn’t be distinctly Marc Jacobs if there weren’t something far-out in the design and I think that is his signature.

Whether you love it or hate it, or think these handbags are a repeat of previous designs, only done with different colors or materials, these latest collection are all eye-grabbing pieces that is sure to make the wardrobe pop and punctuate one’s personal style.

I love the design of the Jypsiere because it looks really casual and easy to carry. The handbag, if you haven’t noticed, is a variation of the iconic Birkin Kelly handbag. Only this Jypsiere comes off as more casual since it’s a messenger/shoulder/crossbody bag. The rounded bottom makes this handbag look less rigid. It’s really perfect for dressing up a trendy outfit.

The update on the Kelly handbag, however, isn’t too drastic, for you can still see where the Jypsiere is inspired from. Thus, it makes this handbag all the more coveted because it can work for both uptown ladies as well as casual, laidback fashionista looking for a nice and suitable everyday bags.

Who knew that a bag that looks like a simple plastic bag can be so voguish and trendy. Jil Sanders has created a glorified version of market bags…and for a glorified version, it does really have a special place in style and fashion.

This Acetate Market Bag was seen in the Spring and Summer 2011 Jil Sander Runway show. Measuring about 32 cm by 58 cm, this bag has no pickets or slots, but it does have a roomy space inside it. I will dare not put fresh produce or meats on this one, though. But I think it looks perfect for the beach or for Saturday romps at the mall.

Bonus points for such an attractive color, with the matching leather tag accent.

Well, I mention this now because apparently, the brand has relaunched in collaboration with French-Japanese brand Comme Des Garcon. And with its comeback, those groovy bags from the 60′s are being reintroduced in the collection which has been aptly named as “1969″.

This chainmail bag is just one sample —

It’s made of mixed materials like rubber and chain. And while it does look heavy, edgy and rugged (so fitting for someone with rockstar qualities), the bag is also very chic. I think it’s the rockstar version of that classic Chanel bag.

Miss Wu handbags by Jason Wu debuted in the runway last season and will now be available this coming spring.

The is the designer’s first foray into handbags and accessories, but he has been critically hailed for being the designer who dressed Michelle Obama during the inauguration, which was followed by many other fashion hits.

The bag line, Miss Wu, consists of traditional but trendy looking handbags which Wu describes as having “an air of old world glamor but with the updated, ease of a modern woman.”

Each of the Miss Wu handbags carries an image of an owl, either as part of the accessory or accent. The owl is actually THE Miss Wu, and the image would also be seen in the designer’s other accessory collection, as well as his shoe collection.

Justifying A Luxury Bag Purchase

Nope, these aren’t actual Birkins from Hermes. But it’s probably the next best thing to owning one, without costing an arm and a leg.

The Banane handbag is actually made of eco-friendly canvas and comes with the photo of the famous luxury bag on it.
