A fashion magazine has called on the Celine Luggage Tote as the newest IT bag, taking over Proenze Schouler’s PS1 reign.
That bag has a particularl feature that appeals to me. It’s chic and structured, but the side flaps give it extra…wing, so to speak.

Vintage handbags are always in style, that’s what I think. They don’t actually follow a trend, because a vintage handbag is akin to individuality. These kinds of handbags have such characters, that they exude quite distinct and impressionable styles.
So many designers today take inspiration from vintage fashion. You could see lots of “vintage” handbags that carry brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci or Coach and they are mass-produced.
Take for instance, this Marc Jacobs vintage-inspired piece.
The PS1 Handbag was last year’s most coveted handbag, and is still sought after in spite of many variations and imitations from other bag designers. They now come in brighter colors, as part of its Fall and Winter 2011 release. Although personally, I’m not really sure I’m liking it.

I saw a photo of one of Ismachseven’s bag designs in a friend’s iPhone file. She snapped this while she saw this in a shop in Florida and has been keeping it on her phone to serve as inspiration. The bag looks really gorgeous and so I got curios when she told me to check out Ismachseven’s collections online.

Tory Burch is one of two designers releasing an Obama-inspired tote bag in time for the presidential inauguration. This bag may be seen at the Presidential Inaugural Store at 625 E Street Northwest, Washington DC beginning January, along with other Obama-inspired merchandise.
It may also be bought online at this store beginning February.
