This Kate Spade All Aboard Ship Clutch should really be so interesting to carry around. The whimsical design grabs anyone’s interest. The clutch bag is designed to mimic that of a real ship, from its shape down to its pieces and even the color. There’s even an anchor lure on the right curve. Inside, the bag comes with nautical stripes. Every detail is so well-thought of, it’s actually pretty cute.

I’m glad I got over my obsession for school bag satchels, which is why I didn’t get the handbag when Cambridge Satchels was the rage a couple of months back. The novelty of it got old for me pretty quickly. I saw a photo of one of Ismachseven’s bag designs in a friend’s iPhone file. She snapped this while she saw this in a shop in Florida and has been keeping it on her phone to serve as inspiration. The bag looks really gorgeous and so I got curios when she told me to check out Ismachseven’s collections online.

The Lily Bag from Mulberry is a limited edition bejewelled piece that has been released as part of its Spring and Summer 2011 Collection. It’s design is based on an old and classic Mulberry favorite. But while the Lily is actually just natural leather, this limited edition is of camel suede and then embellished with 2,596 Swarovski crystals 460 rivets. All these have been manually applied.
One thing I love about spring fashion is that it’s okay to get wild and crazy over colors and designs and not look odd or weird wearing it this way. And this year, it’s particularly interesting because even handbags are going the way of colorblocking.
Colorblocking has dominated spring fashion lines in the past, except that it’s been mostly applied to clothes. But now it’s also on handbags and recent runway shows have presented quite an interesting selection for it.
