The only thing I don’t like about it is the size because I think it’s too small for my use. But then again, if one is carrying around a colorful piece like this, then something huge can be too overpowering. Thus, its size is already a good fit.

These are from her selection of tote handbags and as you can probably tell, the design isn’t what you would typically see anywhere. They look fun and colorful, and they match every bit of style and flair the brand represents.

The handbags below, on the other hand, are part of the Art Bag collection Lisa Perry has collaborated with the Borbonese and The Lichtenstein Foundation, featuring Roy Lichtenstein’s work. Released in 2010, this is the first and so far the only time the foundation has worked with a fashion designer to come up with commercially sold pieces.

According to reports, a leather goods company based in Italy has manufactured handbags that is actually from the original design of the scientist and artist. Da Vinci apparently drew this on paper several centuries ago.

The handbag, which will be called Pretiosa (meaning, Precious in Italian), will go on sale by March 1. It comes from the company Gherardini, and it is made of calfskin leather with hand-sewn embroidery and a brass handle.

Pretiosa comes in only 99 pieces, which means that this is an ultimate collector’s items. The drawing of the purse was apparently filed in The Codex Atlanticus, which is a book that contains all of Da Vinci’s work between 1478 to 1519.

I was suprised to find some really good designs with price tags falling between $250 and $1250.

Zimmerman Pebbled Clutch in Asymmetric Shape

The reality TV star has partnered with HSN (Home Shopping Network) and has come up with a brand, “Snooki by Nicole Polizz”, which shall be selling perfumes, slippers, sunglasses and handbags. The handbags are going to be on the HSN beginning this month and will range from $39 to $69.

It obviously has the taste and style sensibilities of the starlet. The collection boasts of animal prints, lots of blacks, grey and brown, as well as studded pieces. These are styles normally associated with the TV star’s fashion sense.

Jersey Shore’s Snooki Launches Handbag Line

When this was launched in the US a few months back, there was also criticism about how the Kardashian sisters knocked off one style, which Botkier immediately noticed. This time it seems, their handbag line has copied several other “inspirations.

Like the Alexa, this comes with a turn lock opening and the the buckled straps. It’s only slightly smaller, but I like that if you take off the straps, you can use the Literary as an envelope clutch. This design gives you more than one way to wear it. Envelope clutches are so in style these days too, which makes this really awesome to have.

At $35, it’s a practical handbag to own. The only thing I wish it had is more choices of colors, as the Literary only comes in these three shades.

They are absolutely crazy! And I still don’t know if that’s crazy in a good way or crazy, as in, crazy!!!

If you do carry around bags designed with so many embellishments and colors like this collection from Mary Frances, the way my mind was screaming is probably the kind of reaction you’ll get from the people around you.

These handbags are definite scene stealers and it takes a really special, stylish person to pull off carrying these and incorporate it in their wardrobe.

What I can say though, is that I really, really, really love the uniqueness of these designs. These bags take the phrase, “There’s nothing quite like it!” up a notch! Not even a Leiber handbag comes close. This is a whole new level of design.

Tela Bags is a Portugese company who creates eco-friendly handbags and wallets. Time and again, they come up with special collections and for this season, they are making these straight from IKEA catalogues.

The handbags have the IKEA label on them, as well as a tag indicating which raw or recycled materials were used to make these.

I like the bag’s designs as they’re really convenient tote bags. The prints are also classy, in spite of it showing IKEA products. For some reason, the style really works. The handbags are reinforced using fabric, which I’m sure is from organic materials, as well.

I like the detail on the flap, giving it a hip and edgy vibe.

But it is designed for use a laptop bag and it is vegan.

Perfect for a 13″ Macbook, this bag is featured with suede lining, which has been made from recycled bottles. The bag also has a front pocket and compartments for other gadgets like an iPhone or an iPod. It looks so slim you wouldn’t think it comes with a protective padding, but it does.

Released last year by Liz Couture, this satchel is made of croc-embossed patent leather and comes in either red and black.

As it is, the satchel already makes this a roomy bag. But being built in with a drawer keeps all of the contents in your bag organized and you don’t have to wade through the bottom just to look for stuff. Inside, the bag is lined with light tan fabric.

The drawer doesn’t make this bag heavy, too, which makes carrying it even better. And given that it comes in red makes it a perfect fit for fall season’s trends. Although, personally, I’d much rather prefer the black one.

Michael Kors does away with subtlety and really comes up with a handbag with the military camouflage. Despite the lack of compartments, this doctor-shaped bag is roomy and spacious inside. This is available at Michael Kors or at Lord & Taylor.

4 Military Inspired Handbags

I guess, Cambridge Satchel also thought it was time to update their famous handbag’s design with this limited release of the Cambridge Satchel with patterns.

I have to say that this really draws the line for me, as it looks almost so much like a grade schooler’s bag now. It would be hard to pair this off with something from my wardrobe, given that I’m thirty something.

This would be perfect as gifts to my nieces who are still in high school and college, though. These handbags are complete representations of the youth market.

The Cambridge Satchel Co. Patterned Handbags

Most camera owners, however, want their camera bags inconspicuous-looking, like you wouldn’t think there’s a camera in it because it looks like any other crossbody bag.

This patent camera shaped handbag is a playful interpretation of such a bag. You don’t really need this to store your cameras in. You can actually wear it as it is, without any gadget inside. Only, it looks like it does because it comes in a sturdy camera-shaped design.

The handbag is from Topshop. It’s made of patent leather with a detachable strap.

I think it would be fun to wear this on days when you wanna pretend you have a camera with you. I don’t know though if an actual camera fits this. But if it does, then this bag serves a double purpose!

This is called the Billy Jean Clutch, which is a cross between rocker chic and urban chic. The handbag comes with a fold over design and the flaps are zippered down with a few tassels. It looks totally cool and radical. The style is a stand-out and looks even better with all the choices of prints and colors or it.

This clutch is oversized, thus making it more utilitarian than regular clutches. It also comes with a strap, so that it can be worn as a shoulder bag.

For $220, this handbag is worth the price!

Elly Clay’s textured satchel in bright, almost turquoise blue, is probably my favorite in her collection. This also comes in fuchsia, black and pewter but I really love the blue best. I especially love the size, it’s the kind I need from the bag.

This satchel is designed in glazed calf leather and embossed python. The surface is textured and oh, so gorgeous! Brass hardware complete its style.

Lastly, this is Elly Clay’s Boyfriend Hobo and its the edgiest from this selection. The handbag has an unusual strap, which sets it apart. I’m not so thrilled about the studs but I can live with it. The handbag is made of elephant grain calf leather and it’s really spacious inside.

Elly Clay is designed by Crystal Haylett, who is based in New York. As a new player in the handbag scene, her designs have really become much sought after by celebrities and socialites. The handbags make use of a lot of hardware and fringes, as you have seen and the best way to describe Elly Clay’s style is that is truly fashion forward.

Many of their handbags are big and bulky, which I think works best for women on the go. The handbag comes with really cute names as well, patterned after major cities of the world. For instance, the first two photos are their Hong Kong and Luxembourg styles, which will be out in stores by Augusts.

The bag is also very spacious inside, which makes it very convenient for a busy and happening woman who needs a bag that can support anything she wants to put in it.
