This is the Stellar GM, which I think is the most convenient handbag to have in the Mahina Leather line. It’s big and it’s roomy and the bag’s shape for me is the one I find most ideal. I do love my handbags rectangular or boxy. And I like that it has a zipper top, which keeps my stuff secure but accessible.

The Mahina leather is a discreet version of the Monogram. It comes with pleats and the bag looks femininely sophisticated. The leather is so soft, with hues of blues and grays. I think it goes really well for a daytime fall wardrobe. But it also works perfectly for summer clothes.

I love that it also comes in multi-strap. So convenient to carry around, and so stylish at that!

This is the Lita Handbag and its hip design is something you cannot ignore. I like the choices of basic colors that come together in this piece. Its craftmanship is intricate and detailed, made of soft suede leather. I also love that the handbag is oversized but lightweight.

This piece is not only stylish and fashionable, it’s also very handy to carry anywhere all the time.

The Lita Handbag

Just some of this line’s styles feature this discontinued Chantilly structured sling bag, but is given a new look for this collection. It’s colorful and perforated. Actully many of the bags from this collection are that I think it’s the running theme. I’m not exactly liking the little holes, but I think that it does give these handbags a new vibe.

Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection 2012

Anyway, the sisters have recently launched the newest product attached to their names. They have a line of handbags now and it’s exclusively released at Sear’s. The girls have been chosen to endorse the handbags and willingly sealed their names with it because they’re pretty much bagistas themselves and have closets full of designer handbag collections.

However, I doubt if they are truly involved with the design of their Kardashian Kollection, because if they were, something like this would’ve not slipped off their hands.

The first bag to the left is Botkier’s Clyde handbag. The one on the right is the design from the Kardashian Kollection.

These girls tote around Botkiers in Hollywood (aside from their LV’s, their Hermes, and all those other name brands). So, they must be so aware of which designs go with what brand.

But Botkier has claimed, the particular Kardashian handbag in the photo is a direct rip-off of their own design. Botkier even posted a blog about this claim and is mulling over reporting this to the CFDA.

Sears was quick to act on this and removed the actual handbag in contention from their website. It’s no longer up for sale. It’s interesting to see how this will develop. Guess someone’s already trying to solve this matter.

It’s not the first time the Kardashian sisters had their name endorsing a product only to pull out of the deal when something comes up wrong. They’re currently in a legal battle with a credit card company for another endorsement deal that didn’t fully deliver.

Botkier Klaims Kardashian Handbag Kopied Their Kouture Design

Most people would probably make a mistake saying this particular shade or color and say “giv-er”. I would, too… if I didn’t know it was French.

But there’s a certain way of saying the word “givre”. It has this sensual roll in the tongue, which may be hard to say if you’re going to have to order the bag over the phone or when you’re actually at a Louis Vuitton store talking to someone.

Anyway, Givre will be available in August and will be released among the Alma line. The new color will also be available with models like the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Sherwood GM, the Louis Vuitton Zippy Coin Purse, their Pochette Sobe and their key holders.

New Louis Vuitton Vernis Color: Givre

Louis Vuitton has been awarded CAN$1.4Million, while Burberry will be collecting CAN$1.1Million after it was proven by the Calgary court in Canada that counterfeiting companies have been sell fake designer goods of the labels. These were mostly handbags and other accessories (like belts) from China, and were sold online.

According to a statement from Louis Vuitton —

“Those companies had been selling, since as early as January 2008, counterfeit and infringing fashion accessories, specifically handbags, bearing Louis Vuitton trademarks and copyrights and Burberry trademarks.”

Three Canadian companies were involved in this case, namely Carnation Fashion, Singga and Altec and the courts have asked them to pay the luxury brands. These companies were believed to be involved in larger counterfeiting operations and have been selling the goods all over Canada.

The court made their final decision of this case last June 27, calling this “the highest punitive damages award”.

Early in June, Tory Burch has won the case against counterfeiters as well and was awarded US$164Million by a New York City court.

Louis Vuitton and Burberry Wins Counterfeit Lawsuit in Canada

This photo was shot at Cambodia’s Siem Reap province by an equally famous photographer, Annie Leibovitz. The image will be part of Louis Vuitton’s Core Values project, which, according to reports, is expected to run for a year and a half. Other celebrities, like Sean Connery, Bono, Mikhail Gorbachev, Catherine Deneuve and Keith Richards are slated to appear in the same project.

Introduced in 2007, the Core Values is an advertising campaign that balances out its other fashion campaigns. The Core Values features personalities known to be using its timeless monogrammed leather merchandise, citing that it’s for a “very special person and a very special journey”. Such as in Angelina’s case, her handbags carry a lot of stories.

The Alto bag is no longer being sold but the brand is considering coming up with an updated version.

In addition to this campaign, Louis Vuitton is setting up a special website just for Angelina Jolie and her Alto. It will features photos of her and her handbag, as well as Maddox, her eldest, and partner, Brad Pitt, while doing charity work in Cambodia and other Third World countries. The site will be unveiled this week.

It is not known how much Louis Vuitton has paid to get Angelina for this project, but she apparently donated her fee to her supported charities.

The Goyard Boeing bag comes in its signature canvas, with several different colors. There are several sizes to this, depending on the length of the bag — 25, 30, 45, 55 and 65. The smallest is actually a pouch where you can put all of your toiletries. The largest is an actual suitcase size.

Prices for the handbag, for each of the sizes, also differ. It depends on the type of color you pick. The handbags that come in color are a bit expensive than the regular black or black/brown styles. This is because the colored handbags are a lot more expensive to make, thus they carry a different price tag.

Several celebrities have been spotted about town over the years carrying their Boeing bags while at the airport. Some celebrities even carry two sets at a time, in same sizes. I guess that’s how much they love to travel with it.

If you plan on traveling this summer, it may be good to consider traveling with a Goyard Boeing bag. Being a popular choice, it’s usefulness and durability is already legendary.

The second detail is what I love about this style best. And although Louis Vuitton rarely impresses me with their handbag collections, I think that this would the first time I’d say….I could soon be lemming for this particular Lockit.

Sources say, this will be coming in three sizes — PM, MM and GM. Other details include a hanging keybell and a distinctive padlock with its monogram on it.

No official word on how much these handbags would go for but bag lovers are guessing it will retail along the avenue of US$20,000 or more.

Louis Vuitton’s Lockit Handbag Fall 2011

Color blocking is a technique where blocks of various fabrics are sewn together to create clothing with a few different solid colors.

It basically is a style with different sets or block of colors put together to create one piece. For clothes, you exhibit this by wearing one solid color for the top and a different, contrasting color for the bottom and the shoes. For emphasis on the wardrobe, you would need a good, colorful bag to complete the look.

Louis Vuitton’s latest in their Spring/Summer 2011 handbag line, demonstrates the concept of color blocking so perfectly.

While I’m not exactly thrilled by these bags design idea in general, I love the choices of colors combined to make these clutches really work the trend.

These handbags come in three colors. Two of them are done in patent leather, which is also quite fashionable these days. I really love the one in pink, in spite of being too small for me.

The other is made from leather and suede with golden brass accents, which looks tamer but more elegant.

Angelina Jolie is new face of Louis Vuitton Handbags

The D-bag is a classic. Launched sometime in 1997, this bag has been updated to fit into today’s trends and styles even better. However, the overall design still bears the same style as the first ever version — exposed stitching, rounded corners with zippers, classic minimalist.

Other than Kate Middleton, celebrities like Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba and Anne Hathaway also love their D-bags and their different versions. Jessica’s is actually a rare bright glossy red number.

According to reports, the simplest version of the D-bag, which is what the Royal Bride has opted for, cost about $1,665. It comes in pricier designs bearing platinum hardware or crocodile skin leather, that amount to somewhere between $5,000 to $28,000.

Diego Della Valle, the son of Tod’s D-bag founder says that Princess Diana was such a supporter of their products.

“It was interesting for us because she used the D-Bag in many different situations, between official dinners or when she was in Africa.”

Today, we will be reviewing one of the newer Louis Vuitton’s handbag, the LV Delightful GM Monogram.  This bag is actually hard to get your hands on and we barely picked it up after waiting over a month on a waiting list.

The Delightful GM Monogram is certainly a over-sized bag that is comfortable and it’s very roomy.

Let’s go take a closer look, shall we?

The front of the LV Delightful GM Monogram has two pockets, both of which provide an ample space for your iPhone and other small accessories.

The top band is engraved with “Louis Vuitton” as you can see.

Here’s a shot of the inside of the bag, which has a zip pocket (bigger than the front pockets) and also you can fit a LOT of stuff in this bag.  It’s certainly a great bag a girl can wish for to use it on a daily basis.

Every metal piece on this bag is engraved with “LOUIS VUITTON” in capital letters.  I really like this bag because there’s proof that a lot of attention has been given to every detail.

Overall, this LV Delightful GM Monogram is a great everyday bag that will help you carry all your stuff (even diapers and wipes) while looking as stylish.  Another thing to note is that this one is more rare than other traditional LV Monograms and you don’t have to worry as much as there’s less chance you will run into someone who has the same bag.

It’s so hard to pick which one I love best. But the famous monogram bags come in glossy leather with interesting shapes and frames. The calfskin pieces come with a key holder that’s half-done and is part of the style of the handbag. The fabric monogram bags are also gorgeous and looks as if its made of thick satin fabric while the embroidered monograms appear with shearlings, which add a nice touch with all its details.

I think Louis Vuitton outdid themselves for this collection.

Fanny packs, they say, were designed back in the 60′s and the 70′s, the decade of the hippies. These bags were popular back then because they allowed the wearer to have full use of his/her hands, instead of carrying a bag with them.

While the fanny packs have been replaced by the crossbody bag in recent years, its comeback is imminent. Especially since Bohemian fashion has become part of contemporary style already.

Louis Vuitton’s First Male Asian Model & the latest Damier Infini Line

Millions of counterfeit bags proliferate the market and it’s a situation that manufacturers of designer bags do not seem to have real control. The internet is especially full of counterfeit bags and Louis Vuitton, Coach, Gucci, Hermes and Burberry are just five of the most copied designer bag labels.

Many of these counterfeit items not only copy the design of the bag. They also make use of the designer’s logo illegally, meaning, they make their own styles and designs and then put the designer’s logo on it.

Majority of these branded bags are only available in limited quantities, not in loads of pieces that many fake sellers carry at one time. Original bags are sold at their very own designer stores. They are also made available in authorized major retail stores, but again, still in limited quantities. This is one way manufacturers and designers control their products.  Like most limited items, they are a lot more valuable when sold and produced this way.

This is one way to check if the bag sold is fake or not. When you see many kinds of it at the store, and the store is not a major authorized retailer, then you can surely bet on the bag being a fake.

However, if you see one and only item being auctioned off at E-bay, for instance…then there’s a chance it may be an original bag that someone (who is most likely not a retailer but only trying to unload stuff) is trying to sell. Make the pertinent inquiries before you confirm your purchase of this bag.

Over the years, designers have attempted to incorporate bags to men’s wardrobe. It started with the backpack and moved on from messenger bags, to crossbody bags and to what we now call as “man bags”.

Marchesa has announced it will be coming up with its own line of evening bags which will have a targeted launch date in the Spring of 2010. The company, founded by Georgina Chapman is well-known for its wonderful gown collection. The bag line is obviously an expansion of the brand.

Key styles include a silver clutch with a profusion of beading and embroidery in an elongated oval shape and clutches with tassels. There are also exotic skins such as alligator, crocodile and lizard done in rich colors like aubergine and ochre. The bags will retail from $995 to $5,000 for an exotic skin.

There are elements of jewelry in the collection as well. The handles are beaded and incorporate crystals, and every bag in the line is topped off with a hand-cut rock crystal. All the beading is done in India, but the bags are made by hand in Italy.
