Coach’s Fabulous New Vintage Handbag: Poppy Vachetta Willis

Zhang Lan is known for his Chinese tattoo and street art designs. Aside from the tote bag, the collection actually consist of a passport case, a travel wallet and an organizer.

The designer has also collaborated with brands like Nike and Pepsi in the past, and is a celebrated artist that has been featured on CNNGo, Shanghai daily and HS Magazine.

Coach’s Year Of The Dragon Handbag

This is a limited edition poppy leather handbag from Coach. It’s made of gunmetal metallic leather, the texture and color of which reminds me of tinsels and Christmas decorations. The handbag also features beaded leather flowers that lends a softer, feminine touch that tones down the metal leather. It also adds a whimsical style.

Coach’s Poppy Leather Flower Party Handbag

I didn’t think Coach also does summer handbags like this. It’s the Straw Natalie Shopper Bag Tote and if you look closely, this handbag has snakeskin, as well, and serves as a nice accent to it. The handbag does look a bit sophisticated and may even be carried even or use for fall or winter wear, and not just for the beach.

Coach Straw Natalie Shopper Bag Tote

One look and you can definitely say that this handbag is a beauty. It looks stylish and sturdy. It beautifully combines gold and mixed metal hardware with its caramel leather. The satchel also looks roomy and versatile. You can wear it with anything and use it when you’re going to be out with friends for weekend shopping, or on a business meeting at the boardroom. It’s the kind of handbag you can effortlessly shift into from work to weekends.

My only issue with this beautifully styled bag? It may take me minutes to open it. I still find totes the most convenient because you can just throw anything in there. This one’s not good when I’m rushing at the cashier counter, and that’s the only reason why I’m not so sold on this.

Flagship Leather Flap Satchel by Coach

Take a look at what they have —

Just released, these handbags are the latest variation of the Poppy line, which is actually one of the most affordable lines from Coach. However, this latest batch is now slightly a bit higher priced and made with sophisticated and better designs.

These Poppies are a mix of preppy, trendy and classic. The colors are young and vibrant but there’s a certain sensibility to the overall design. Unlike the original Poppy collection, which had fruit prints and colors that appeal to the younger set, this infuses classic elements and the color is also pretty safe and more feminine.

Thus, it grabs everything in the middle, that I think, anyone can have this bag — young and old alike. This is perhaps an attempt to gain more buyers and followers of the handbag.

My personal favorites from this collection are the last two photos — The Poppy Cinch and the Mini Satchel.

I personally am a Coach Chelsea fan rather than a Poppy, but with this latest designs, I’m beginning to like the Poppy too.

How To Spot Fake Louis Vuitton, Coach & Chanel Bags

Millions of counterfeit bags proliferate the market and it’s a situation that manufacturers of designer bags do not seem to have real control. The internet is especially full of counterfeit bags and Louis Vuitton, Coach, Gucci, Hermes and Burberry are just five of the most copied designer bag labels.

Many of these counterfeit items not only copy the design of the bag. They also make use of the designer’s logo illegally, meaning, they make their own styles and designs and then put the designer’s logo on it.

Majority of these branded bags are only available in limited quantities, not in loads of pieces that many fake sellers carry at one time. Original bags are sold at their very own designer stores. They are also made available in authorized major retail stores, but again, still in limited quantities. This is one way manufacturers and designers control their products.  Like most limited items, they are a lot more valuable when sold and produced this way.

This is one way to check if the bag sold is fake or not. When you see many kinds of it at the store, and the store is not a major authorized retailer, then you can surely bet on the bag being a fake.

However, if you see one and only item being auctioned off at E-bay, for instance…then there’s a chance it may be an original bag that someone (who is most likely not a retailer but only trying to unload stuff) is trying to sell. Make the pertinent inquiries before you confirm your purchase of this bag.

Is this bag a fake or is it original?

This isn’t my favorite of Coach’s bag collection. As it is named, I find this bag really bright and shiny with all of its metallic leather and sequins embellish. It would be a challenge to make it work. 10 1/4 (L) x 11(H) x 4 (W).
